Picture Taken at Marker November
Yesterday, I uploaded photos from my digital camera. I took some pictures of Royal Belum on 29 Jun, 08. We are so lucky to experience the breathtaking scenery. We had a wet days in Belum, leach everywhere.. eeee...
"Royal Belum forest is located in the Gerik, Perak area. The forest is divided into 2 sections.
* 1. The upper Belum area, which stretches to the Thai-Malaysian border covering 117,500 hectares of impenetrable jungle.
* The lower Belum mostly covered by Temenggor Lake.
The upper belum area is declared as the Royal Belum State Park by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Azlan Shah, Sultan of Perak on 31 July, 2003. Belum and Temenggor forest is preserve as a permanent nature reserve for research.
Attraction
Estimated at least 60 salt licks scattered around the Belum area. Salt licks are usually covered with all type of animals tracks eg Sambar dear, kijangs, tapirs, elephants, wild boars, rhino, seladang and gour.
Elephants tracks can be found crossing the salt licks areas.
Beautiful scenery and sunset over Temenggor lake and the ancient limestone hills believe to be 220 millions years old."
